Stop maintaining. Start stewarding.
The standard Landscape Maintenance model is adversarial. It treats nature as a mess to be cleaned up—cutting back perennials too early, deadheading seed heads that birds rely on, and applying fertilizers at the wrong stage of root development.
True ecological gardening requires Stewardship. It requires knowing that the Echinacea needs to stand through winter for the Goldfinches, while the Phlox needs to be cut back to prevent mildew.
The Avishan Stewardship Schedule is a bespoke operational plan for your specific property. We analyze your plant list to create a timeline based on phenology—the study of cyclic and seasonal natural phenomena—rather than arbitrary calendar dates.
The Stewardship Difference:
-
Timing is Biology: We don’t just say Prune in April. We align actions with biological triggers (e.g., Prune roses when the Forsythia blooms).
-
Habitat Continuity: We identify which plants serve as winter hostels for native pollinators and schedule their cut-back times to ensure the next generation of bees emerges safely first.
-
Nutrient Cycling: We provide a strategy for Chop and Drop mulching specific to your species, turning your garden waste into next year’s fertilizer.
How It Works:
-
Inventory: You provide a list of the major plants in your garden (or a series of clear photos if you are unsure).
-
The Analysis: We review the specific requirements of your species against your regional hardiness zones.
-
The Prescription: You receive a Custom Stewardship PDF detailing exactly What, When, and Why to intervene in your garden, month by month.
Service Specifications:
-
Service Type: Custom Horticultural Planning.
-
Fee Structure: Choose Your Tier.
-
Deliverable: Custom PDF Stewardship Guide.

Choosing Your Tier:
Ecological stewardship is based on biodiversity. The more diverse your planting, the more complex the management schedule becomes.
-
Standard Garden ($145): Select this for typical residential landscapes. We will analyze up to 20 distinct species.
-
Large Garden ($245): Select this for established gardens with expanded planting beds. We will analyze 20–40 distinct species.
-
Collector Garden ($345): Select this for high-biodiversity food forests or enthusiast collections. We will analyze 40–60 distinct species.
- Super Collector (> 60 Species): For botanical collections or estates exceeding 60 distinct species, please contact us directly for a custom consulting proposal.
Note: This is a planning service, not a physical labor service. We provide the intelligence; you (or your gardener) provide the hands.
Technical Scope & Biological Limitations:
-
Exclusion of Labor & Physical Execution: This service is a strategic planning protocol, not a maintenance contract. We provide the intellectual framework; the Steward (or their contracted gardener) provides the physical labor. Avishan Garden is not liable for physical injuries, strain, or accidents resulting from the execution of these tasks.
-
Biological Variance & No Warranty: The Stewardship Schedule is a predictive management tool based on historical climate data and standard species phenology. Avishan Garden cannot guarantee the survival or bloom performance of any specific plant. Health depends on variables beyond our control, including pest pressure, soil chemistry, and weather anomalies.
-
Data Fidelity: The accuracy of the schedule relies entirely on the plant list or photos provided by the Steward. We are not responsible for protocols generated for misidentified plants if the data provided during the intake process was incorrect or ambiguous.
-
Educational Use Only: Directives regarding pruning techniques and Chop and Drop methods are for educational purposes. The Steward is solely responsible for the safe operation of all garden tools and machinery, and for verifying that specific plants are not toxic before handling.
Support the Mission. Proceeds from this purchase directly fund the Avishan Cultivator Grant, a financial initiative empowering emerging horticulturists to engineer local resilience and launch community stewardship projects across the Temperate and Continental biomes.
Invest in Your Baseline, Invest in the Community. By purchasing this protocol, you are not only securing a professional sanctuary plan for your own property but also seeding the next generation of ecological design.
