Stop guessing. Get a forensic answer.

Whether you are worried about a failing tree, unexplained die-back, or a mysterious pest, the Forensic Diagnostic Assessment provides a science-based answer without the cost of a physical site visit.

We don’t just look at the symptoms; we investigate the root cause. Using your submitted photos and site history, we perform a Desktop Pathology review to determine if the stressor is abiotic (soil, water, light) or biotic (pests, disease).

What We Analyze:

  • Visual Symptoms: We analyze your photos for specific markers of stress, nutrient deficiency, or pathogen attack.

  • Environmental Context: We review site history and location data to rule out invisible stressors like root compaction or micro-climate mismatch.

  • The Verdict: We assess if the specimen is Stable, At Risk, or Critical.

The Deliverable: You will receive a Forensic Diagnostic Report (PDF). This is not just a diagnosis; it is a Stewardship Protocol giving you specific, step-by-step instructions on how to intervene and restore health.

How It Works:

  1. Book the Assessment: Purchase the service to open your case file.

  2. Submit Evidence: You will receive a secure Intake Form to upload site history and photos of the issue (close-ups and wide shots).

  3. The Analysis: We review the visual evidence against environmental data for your regional biome.

  4. Receive Your Protocol: Within 7–10 business days, your report arrives in your inbox.

Service Specifications:

  • Service Type: Remote Diagnostic Assessment

  • Fee Structure: $195.00 CAD (Flat Rate)

  • Deliverable: Digital PDF Report (Forensic Diagnostic Report)

  • Prerequisites: Requires submission of clear photos via Intake Form.

Note: This service is a remote horticultural assessment based on visual evidence. It does not replace laboratory tissue analysis or structural safety inspections for large trees.

Technical Scope & Diagnostic Limitations:

  1. Visual Assessment vs. Laboratory Analysis: The Forensic Diagnostic is a remote morphological analysis based on visible symptoms. It is a desktop pathology review and does not include physical root excavation, laboratory tissue culture (PCR testing), or soil chemistry profiling. If a confirmed pathogen identification requires lab work, we will recommend a third-party facility.

  2. Structural Safety Exclusion: This assessment evaluates biological health (vitality), not structural integrity (risk). It is not a certified arborist’s risk assessment for hazard trees. Avishan Garden assumes no liability for damage caused by falling limbs or tree failure. If the specimen poses a potential risk to people or property, the Steward must immediately hire a local, on-site ISA Certified Arborist.

  3. Data Fidelity & Visual Evidence: The accuracy of the diagnosis relies entirely on the resolution and clarity of the Evidence submitted by the Steward. We reserve the right to suspend the analysis or request new imagery if the visual data provided is ambiguous or insufficient to rule out abiotic stressors.

  4. Prognosis & Survivability: A diagnosis does not guarantee recovery. Advanced pathology often requires multi-seasonal intervention. Avishan Garden provides the Stewardship Protocol as a best-practice intervention guide but is not liable for the eventual loss of the specimen due to advanced disease progression or environmental stress.
